Fostering a European culture of care

Something we value as a caregiver agency is the history and culture behind the way we provide care.

Many countries in Eastern Europe have houses that are multi-generational. Although the reasons for this range from economic, social and cultural factors– it boosted the value of nurturing every member of the family, no matter their age!

Because of these family dynamics, each and every member naturally learns about how to best assist their older loved ones and act as family caregivers. One of things that I remember that resonates with our clients and clients alike is the unique way that they grew up in such households. Families stick together, and younger generations form their connections with their elders by visiting, inviting them out and helping them with something as simple as driving them to doctor’s appointment.

This is engrained in each family’s core values, and many of our caregivers and employees are more than familiar with this way of life. Providing a unique, European culture of care is what we are all about!

Thanks to their innate culture of being the best they can be for their loved ones and clients, our caregivers at Euro-American are as passionate about caregiving as they are about volunteering, pursuing their hobbies and traveling to exciting places around the world!
