An Entire Team That Supports You & Your Caregiver
Hand-picked elder care providers devoted to their clients, treating them with kindness, courtesy and compassion. An entire Care Team and supportive administrators who treat our caregivers with the same respect. That’s a team that truly cares…and will provide the support that you, your family and your caregiver require.
We’ve been successfully providing this exceptional level of service since 1989.
How do we do it? We’re committed to~
- Hiring excellent, primarily Eastern-European, caregivers.
- Employing a Care Team and administrative staff that truly care about our clients.
- Treating our caregivers with the same level of respect and compassion that we give to our clients.
First and Foremost: Our Caregivers
Anyone interested mainly in a paycheck need not apply here. We hire only people who find joy, value and fulfillment in caring for others. This means our caregivers are more motivated and highly skilled than other caregivers. (See our 10-Step Screening and Evaluation Process.)
Here’s one example:
Kristina was unfailingly kind, entirely trustworthy, highly ethical, and competent. My mother’s doctors and visiting nurses often commented that my mother was receiving wonderful care at home.
We match you with the best caregivers, knowing that happy, motivated, skilled caregivers provide better service to their clients.

Alina focuses on one of our primary goals: ensuring that we attract and retain only the finest, most qualified, compassionate and motivated caregivers. Alina recruits and screens applicants, conducts caregiver orientation programs, facilitates numerous trainings and prepares the approved caregivers for their future assignments.
Alina oversees our 10-Step Screening and Evaluation Process (including full criminal background checks) that all caregivers must pass before they start an assignment. She can easily identify the strengths and unique qualities of each caregiver, which she later can match with individual needs of each client.
Barbara continuously monitors the quality of care performed by Euro-American Homecare’s caregivers and supervises those caregivers on their assignments. Barbara can quickly recognize changes in the client’s condition evaluate the home environment and the caregiver’s skill set, motivation and energy level, and make any necessary adjustments.
With her medical background from Poland, she can help caregivers understand their client’s needs and make sure the caregiver is implementing the Plan of Care. Barbara provides caregivers with on-site care trainings, advice and much needed support.
For the office staff, Barbara is the “go-to” person for health-related questions.
Dorothy is in charge of client billing and employee payroll. She also helps clients satisfy all requirements of their long-term care insurance carriers so they can receive all appropriate benefits under their long-term care policies. Dorothy has great sense of humor; it is really hard not to laugh at her witty jokes. Her active lifestyle, skiing and biking escapades with friends surely help her to stay fit.
Anna’s main responsibility is bookkeeping and managing the Agency’s bills. She also handles insurance matters. Anna is extremely efficient, accurate, and reliable. Everyone in the office respects her for her professionalism. When Anna is not in the office paying the Agency’s bills, checking bank statements or working with QuickBooks, she is working her Nikon D7000, taking awesome pictures! Anna’s photographs are beautiful, and full of life and light.
We Care for Our Caregivers
Connecticut’s Euro-American Connections was founded in 1989 with dual goals: to provide care for clients and their families, but also to provide work for caregivers.
Caregiving is hard, stressful work. Hours are long. Clients are often suffering, so they’re not always polite and pleasant. We understand these and other demands of the work. We make provisions to keep our in-home caregivers motivated, growing, and content.
We provide to all our caregivers the same compassion, interest, respect and dignity that they provide to the people in their care.
We celebrate every caregiver’s birthday and host a Caregiver Appreciation Dinner each year around Thanksgiving to thank our caregivers.
