Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Many of the families who visit this site are caring for an older adult — and may themselves be older, or living with a visual or motor impairment. Building a site that's genuinely usable by that audience isn't a compliance checkbox for us, it's the point. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our standard.

What We've Built In

• Body text is never smaller than 15–16px anywhere on the site — a deliberate rule, not a default, because small type is one of the most common barriers for our own audience
• Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and buttons, with a visible focus state
• A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
• Color combinations checked for sufficient contrast
• Motion and scroll animations are disabled automatically if your device is set to reduce motion

Known Limitations

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time fix. Two areas we know deserve continued attention:

• A small number of photos and videos on the site are still placeholders awaiting final content from our team — once real media is in place, each will get accessible alt text or captions at the same time
• Embedded third-party tools (like the office location map) follow their provider's own accessibility standards, which we don't control directly
