My mother lives in Southport. Is that covered, or only Fairfield?
Both. Southport has its own historic district and its own station, but it is part of the Town of Fairfield, and a home there is covered like one in Greenfield Hill, Stratfield or near the beach. If you are not sure whether an address falls inside the town line, give us the street and we will check it.
My mother can no longer manage the print. Can a companion read to her?
Yes. Reading aloud is part of companionship care: a book, the morning paper, a letter from a grandchild, whatever she likes to hear. Tell us what she reads and we will plan the visit around it.
What happens if my father's regular caregiver cannot come?
That is what the monthly visit is for. Every client is visited at home by one of our two field supervisors once a month, so whoever steps in has already sat in your father's living room and is not a stranger reading a file. Call (860) 829-0208 any time you want to hear how that would work for your family.
I live in Westport and my father is in Fairfield. Can I be the one who arranges everything?
Yes. You do not have to live in town to arrange care for someone who does. The Plan of Care, the matching and the schedule are all handled by phone with a coordinator in Berlin; the caregiver is the only one who travels, and they come to your father's door in Fairfield.
