Meaningful Activities

Your loved one was a homemaker, gardener, a cook, a musician, a dancer, a teacher, a storyteller, a carpenter. We help them still be that person.

This is what "bringing purpose, meaning and joy" looks like in practice.

Frank — Music & Homemade Pasta

"He hadn't sung in years. When Frank picked up the guitar, something in him came back to life. That's why we do this."

Frank is one of our award-winning caregivers. He plays guitar. He makes homemade pasta. He sings.

The client used to be a musician. Now he is one again — even if it is just for a few hours a week.

"I don't think of myself as a caregiver. I think of myself as someone who gets to spend time with and focus on the person, not just the daily tasks."— Frank, Euro-American Homecare Award-Winning Caregiver

Free Art Classes — 6 Years, 6 Towns

Art is not just an activity. For many of our seniors, it is the first time in years they have made something with their own hands.

Our free art classes started in Berlin and are now expanding into West Hartford, Farmington, Rocky Hill, Cheshire and Cromwell — because we believe creativity belongs to every stage of life.

Supplies provided. Polish donuts included. Always free.

The Monthly Caregiver Creativity Contest

Every month, our caregivers submit photos of meaningful moments with their clients. Families vote. Caregivers win $$$. Clients win moments they didn't know were still possible.

This contest is not marketing. It is our mission, made visible every month for six years running.

Getting Started Is Simple

A Clear, Guided Process from Initial Call to Caregiver Match

  1. Reach out by phone or by filling out our online form, and THREE things come back to you. A FREE foundational Plan of Care tailored to you and your loved one, along with potential caregiver(s) profile(s) near you, and a list of questions to ask home care agencies.

  2. Our goal is to create the most effective Plan of Care for your loved one. One of our Client Managers will reach out to schedule an in-home visit. This allows us to get to know you and your loved one personally, understand their needs, and assess the home for safety. We'll note any existing adaptive equipment and flag any adjustments that could better support their independence at home.

  3. Based on everything we have learned about your loved one, we will send you a couple of pre-selected caregiver profiles that we believe are a good match for your loved one's needs, preferences, hobbies, personality, etc. Once you have chosen a caregiver you feel good about, you have the option to meet them before services begin.

  4. On the first day of services, our Field Supervisor will be on-site to ensure the Plan of Care is fully understood and followed. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, and we will be there to ease the transition every step of the way. From there, our Field Supervisor will continue with monthly in-home visits to ensure quality care is maintained.
