What Respite Care Looks Like in West Hartford

All Six Services, Not a Subset

Hourly, live-in, overnight, 24-hour, companionship and respite are all available here. That matters more than it sounds: needs change, and in West Hartford you can move between them without changing agency.

A Break That Repeats Beats a Break in an Emergency

The respite that actually helps is the one already in the calendar — the same afternoon every week — rather than the one arranged the day everything has already gone wrong.

For When the Family Caregiver Gets Ill

The arrangement nobody plans for is the daughter with flu or the husband going in for his own surgery. Respite covers exactly that gap, at whatever length it turns out to need.

Our office is in Berlin, about twenty minutes down the road — there is no West Hartford branch. Caregivers live across Greater Hartford and work throughout West Hartford; scheduling and your client manager sit in Berlin.

Getting Started Is Simple

A Clear, Guided Process from Initial Call to Caregiver Match

  1. Reach out by phone or by filling out our online form, and THREE things come back to you. A FREE foundational Plan of Care tailored to you and your loved one, along with potential caregiver(s) profile(s) near you, and a list of questions to ask home care agencies.

  2. Our goal is to create the most effective Plan of Care for your loved one. One of our Client Managers will reach out to schedule an in-home visit. This allows us to get to know you and your loved one personally, understand their needs, and assess the home for safety. We'll note any existing adaptive equipment and flag any adjustments that could better support their independence at home.

  3. Based on everything we have learned about your loved one, we will send you a couple of pre-selected caregiver profiles that we believe are a good match for your loved one's needs, preferences, hobbies, personality, etc. Once you have chosen a caregiver you feel good about, you have the option to meet them before services begin.

  4. On the first day of services, our Field Supervisor will be on-site to ensure the Plan of Care is fully understood and followed. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, and we will be there to ease the transition every step of the way. From there, our Field Supervisor will continue with monthly in-home visits to ensure quality care is maintained.

Why You Need a Plan of Care for Your Loved One?

A Plan of Care tells you exactly what level of support your loved one needs without committing to anything. We put it together because every family making this decision deserves clarity before they commit.

Tailored specifically to your loved one — their routines, their preferences, their history, their situation. Not a template. Not a generic checklist. A plan built for one person — yours.

You own the plan — always. You walk away with it regardless of what you decide next.
