What Hourly Home Care Looks Like in Bristol

Forestville, Edgewood, Federal Hill, and the Rest

Bristol keeps its village names: Forestville, Edgewood, Federal Hill, Chippens Hill. People give them before they give a street, and every one is inside the city line and so inside the area we cover. Say the name you use for your part of town and then the street; the street is what the schedule is built from.

The Appointment Is Part of the Visit

An appointment can take a family's whole morning. Bristol Hospital is on Brewster Road and doctors' offices are spread across the city, and appointment escort is part of hourly care: the caregiver goes with your loved one to the appointment and looks after their safety along the way, so you do not have to rearrange your day around it.

The Rest of the Day Stays Theirs

A morning visit can cover washing and dressing, breakfast and the housework, which leaves the day free for whatever your loved one wants. The Bristol Senior Center on Stafford Avenue is open to residents 55 and over and serves a lunch every day from 11 to 1. We are not connected to it, so ask the center what is on this month.

Our only office is at 1436 Berlin Turnpike in Berlin, 15.6 miles from Bristol by road. There is no Bristol address. Scheduling, matching and your client manager are one phone call away in Berlin, and the caregiver comes to the house.

Getting Started Is Simple

A Clear, Guided Process from Initial Call to Caregiver Match

  1. Reach out by phone or by filling out our online form, and THREE things come back to you. A FREE foundational Plan of Care tailored to you and your loved one, along with potential caregiver(s) profile(s) near you, and a list of questions to ask home care agencies.

  2. Our goal is to create the most effective Plan of Care for your loved one. One of our Client Managers will reach out to schedule an in-home visit. This allows us to get to know you and your loved one personally, understand their needs, and assess the home for safety. We'll note any existing adaptive equipment and flag any adjustments that could better support their independence at home.

  3. Based on everything we have learned about your loved one, we will send you a couple of pre-selected caregiver profiles that we believe are a good match for your loved one's needs, preferences, hobbies, personality, etc. Once you have chosen a caregiver you feel good about, you have the option to meet them before services begin.

  4. On the first day of services, our Field Supervisor will be on-site to ensure the Plan of Care is fully understood and followed. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, and we will be there to ease the transition every step of the way. From there, our Field Supervisor will continue with monthly in-home visits to ensure quality care is maintained.

Why You Need a Plan of Care for Your Loved One?

A Plan of Care tells you exactly what level of support your loved one needs without committing to anything. We put it together because every family making this decision deserves clarity before they commit.

Tailored specifically to your loved one — their routines, their preferences, their history, their situation. Not a template. Not a generic checklist. A plan built for one person — yours.

You own the plan — always. You walk away with it regardless of what you decide next.
